Thomas Becher

Head of SME Banking, SAP Fioneer
Thomas is Head of SME Banking at SAP Fioneer. In this role he is responsible for SAP Fioneers SME Strategy. He drives the business development shaping the SME banking proposition closely working with clients. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He brings together a broad and deep understanding of banking with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Prior to his role at SAP Fioneer, Thomas was member of the SME Banking leadership of ING Germany, responsible for strategy and execution as well as Managing Director of Lendico, a Berlin-based fintech acquired by ING. He was instrumental in driving and managing the build-up of the SME segment for ING in Germany from scratch. Besides establishing an appealing value proposition for SMEs, he intensively drove the question of beyond banking propositions for SMEs. As senior executive lead he was responsible for the Amazon partnership program (embedded lending solution for SME Sellers on amazon, the first of its kind in Europe). Beforehand, he was Co-founder of Fintura, a comparison portal for SME loans. He started his career at Deutsche Bank, with various (leadership-) roles in Retail, Business Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking.
