Zacharias is Professor of Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and works on sustainable finance, ESG, and climate finance. He is an Associate Editor at the Review of Financial Studies, and a Regular Research Visitor at the ECB. In February 2019, he was ranked #2 in Germany among professors in business administration (#1 in finance) based on his A+ publications (age of 40 or below) by Forschungsmonitoring.org. One of his articles was ranked among the top 3 most cited articles over last 5 years in the Journal of Finance (May 2021). His research has been cited more than 4000 times according to Google Scholar and was downloaded 60,000+ times on SSRN.
