Prof. Dr. Andreas Hackethal is a Professor of Finance at Goethe University in Frankfurt and heads the Household Finance group at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Market Research. His empirical research is on individual investment behavior, the role of financial advice, investor protection and on digitalization in finance. He is a member of the advisory council to the German Financial Supervisory Authority BAFIN, of the Exchange Experts Commission (advising the German Federal Ministry of Finance), of the working group consulting ESMA’s Financial Innovation Standing Committee and of the supervisory board of Frankfurt’s Fintech center Techquartier.com. Andreas serves on the supervisory boards of two tech firms.
