Stefanie Hellmich  is an attorney at Luther in Frankfurt since 1998. She advises on financial technology law questions particularly related to business models including the use of new technologies like distributed ledger/ blockchain, AI and Big Data applications in the financial sector. She supports IT and FinTech companies as well as financial service providers and banks. This includes drafting and negotiating of contract terms and conditions for electronic platforms, risk monitoring products, cloud based products including outsourcing arrangements and M&A transactions. She is a member of the German Society for Law and Informatics, co-author of the commentary Taeger/ Gabel, GDPR/ BDSG, publishes and gives lectures on IT and data protection law topics such as mobile payment systems, artificial intelligence, data analytics and big data in the financial industry, on the implementation of the requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation and the EBA Outsourcing Guidelines.
