Dr. Joachim von Schorlemer, Chair of the Hessian Expert Commission Financial Market Policy of the Economic Council was among the speakers at Frankfurt Digital Finance. In his comprehensive summation of the current situation Dr. von Schorlemer, who is also member of the executive board of ING-DiBa AG, advocated for more homegrown Frankfurt investments, asserting that “There is need for action regarding investments! From a strong financial center like this, one would expect more venture capital to flow into German FinTech companies   more than just 2 % of all investments. That is the only way this financial marketplace can keep growing.”

Markus Frank, deputy mayor and officer for economic affairs of the city of Frankfurt, said in his final remarks “If we are successful in strengthening the connections between young people with great ideas and well-established financial institutions, then we will make substantial progress. This is exactly what I have experienced at the Frankfurt Digital Finance conference.”

“The overwhelmingly positive response to the first edition of Frankfurt Digital Finance conference has confirmed our belief  that an ecosystem such as Frankfurt, a center of finance that includes both established competitors and ambitious newcomers, needs just such a lively platform for open discourse.”, said Corinna Egerer, organizer and host of Frankfurt Digital Finance. “The positive feedback we received during the conference and subsequently on social media is very gratifying. At the same time, it is great motivation for next year”, adds co-organizer Max Hunzinger.
